Afternoon Resident
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been out and about on high-visibility foot patrols across the ward and have had the chance to chat with lots of residents along the way. It’s been really encouraging to hear such positive feedback, with many people saying how good it is to see officers “out on the beat” and visible in the community.
Alongside this, I’ve also been carrying out speed checks in a number of locations within the ward. I know speeding is something that concerns many residents, and my aim is that a regular police presence will help to discourage this kind of behaviour and make our roads safer for everyone.
As we head into the summer months, policing demand naturally increases in other areas, and because of the flexible nature of my role, there may be times when I’m needed elsewhere to support colleagues. That said, I’m committed to providing the best possible service and will always aim to be out in the community as much as I can.
To give you an idea of the areas I cover, I’ve included a GPS track from one of my typical foot patrols.
